Orange County Economic Development Authority Adopts Strategic Plan

On March 15, 2016, the Orange County Economic Development Authority adopted a five (5) year Strategic Plan, outlining the departments goals and strategies. After a year-long collaboration with various stakeholder groups, a long compilation of ideas were generated, sorted, and organized to draw the guiding principles for the plan. This Plan is the first document of this nature adopted by the Economic Development Authority of Orange County, VA. Mr. Winston Sides, Chairman of the EDA stated, “I look forward to watching the progress of this five-year plan and the positive outcomes that come to the County and community as a whole.”

Tommy Miller, Economic Development Director, presented the Plan to the Orange County Board of Supervisors on April 12, 2016, during their regularly scheduled meeting. The Plan received positive feedback from all Board members. Mr. Lee H. Frame, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors noted, “The extensive amount of time and effort by all parties involved, clearly illustrates the hard work and dedication put forth by staff and other County leaders. I am extremely impressed with the collaborative effort to gather ideas from such a vast group of stakeholders. This initiative is proof that Orange County is making positive strides for a well thought out plan for future growth.”
