Small business owners and entrepreneurs from Greene, Orange, Louisa, and Fluvanna gathered to hear from various professionals on topics including; business survival, human resources, and social media marketing.  The day was kicked off with a motivational speech delivered by Brett Leake on how "Fun Gets Work Done."  Also in attendance was Doug Bouton, Greene County native, and the co-founder of Halo Top Creamery.  Bouton also participated in a Q&A session regarding the business success story of Halo Top.

The Summit concluded with a live pitch competition where one business from each of the four localities pitched their business idea to a panel of judges, for a chance to win $4,750.  The winning business was JB Cakes of Orange.
